Oh Happy Day! I took another bold step into the 21st century yesterday: I got a computer!! A Mac iBook, to be exact. Why didn't I write about it yesterday, you ask? Well, I was too busy doing the Happy Dance around the apartment. I'm done dancing now...now I'm just playing around, trying to grasp just what exactly this little baby can do. So far? Lots of YouTube, lots of fun with digi pics, and OMG I lurve Garage Band! I've made a bajillion little songs on it already. Of course, I do have some projects to work on....eventually. Heh, at least I've downloaded Lindo--I just haven't done any programming in it yet. But I will; network programming, prepare to meet your master! For now, I'm going to finish the Curried Sweet Potato soup I started earlier today (had to roast the potatos and let them cool). Plus, I have to watch the last few minutes of Young & the Restless.....have to find out who killed Carmen! That poor actress has died in like, a dozen scenario flashbacks already.

In closing, hopefully I will be able to keep on top of shit more easily now. We'll see!

  • In Your Face!!
My cousin Maggie and my Uncle Mark were chosen to be the
stars of the SeaWorld Dolphin Show. Here are some pictures my
aunt took of them. Apparently Maggie said the dolphins felt like
the "inside of a hot dog". Definitely her father's child.

My aunt said she was playing a "splashing game" with the dolphin.
It's never to early to learn the benefit of playing on your own
    turf!

  • On the Road Again.....

Two weekends ago Roy and I drove
up to Chapel Hill to move his ass into a cute little house right near
UNC so he can go to Law School because he *thinks* that's what he wants
to do. Whatever. (I'm just kidding Royberg) Here are some
    pics from our trip:

  • ...with a little help from my friends

    Another belated
update: I went to a Zephyr's game with Katie and her family a
couple of weeks ago. It was Beatles night, and so Beatles music
was played during the game and there was all sorts of Beatles trivia
and whatnot. Also, there was an AWESOME Beatles cover band, Penny
Lane, that played a concert after the game. Katie's mom and
Kristin and Meg's mom got down with their bad selves!

  • So long, Sasha!

Our friend Alex headed off to grad school in Arizona a couple of weeks ago.  We took him out to a hookah bar in the Quarter for a last night out before he left.  Unfortunately, I am just now getting to post these photos:

That's Alex with the hose in the first picture; Mario is on his left.  Roy is in the pic on the right; I'm not sure who the other guy is.

  • She's ALIVE!!

Yeah, so, my new job is kicking my ass.  I work 50+ hours a week, but I freaking love it!!  I'm working for Enterprise, now, in case I forgot to tell you that.  I'm renting cars, washing cars, picking customers up and driving them back home in our cars.  I'm actually LEARNING about cars and can kind of tell  you the differences between them.  Sort of.

So that's where I've been.  Last night Mario and I had a chill night at home and he made the (wise?) mistake of letting me play with a pack of Wikki Stix and his guitar.  The end result:

     P6011084 P6011082

    P6011086 Copy of P6011087

Get it...... Mario SEA?!?  HAHAHAHA!!!  The good news is that he left at the butt-crack of dawn this morning for Indiana, and he didn't take the guitfiddle with him, so there is a chance the Wikki Stix will stay on for a few days.  He did, however, challenge me to learn "La Vie en Rose" on any musical instrument of my choice, so the art's demise may be of my own doing.

That's all for now.  I'm updating on borrowed internet...taking a break from the strenuous work of cat sitting for Katie and Dan.  I'll leave you with this super suave shot of Colin hanging out at the Jackie Chan Memorial, pimpin' my fly $5 summer sun glasses:

Ooooohhhhh....you know you want some of that.  His number is 985-555-whatever.
